The Battle for Clockwise Castle - An Epic Nutcracker Adventure inspired by Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker (Blocks 1 & 2) (Sign Up here!)

An enchanted kingdom is held captive under the tyrannical Rat King’s rule. After being transported there, a group of orphans team up with the land’s former prince-turned-nutcracker and a band of magical creatures to reclaim their home. A feminist, combat-heavy reimagining of The Nutcracker, The Battle for Clockwise Castle explores the power of coming together to fight for what matters most in this epic holiday tale.

Munchkin LARP Battle - Age of Duels and the Dead of Winter (Block 3) (Sign Up Here!

Winter is coming and as the temperature falls, we light a fire in our resolve. In this, the next chapter in Munchkin Larp, a smaller group of warriors will team up to fight chilling beasts. If weather permits we’ll brave the outside. Featuring longer lasting personal characters, evolutions in alchemy, banking, gambling and harder monsters.

Munchkin - Legacy! (Block 3)

Radio Play / Voice Acting (Block 3) (Sign Up Here!)

Voice acting is a different skill than normal stage acting. We will learn to convey emotions with just our voices and discuss the history of radio plays. We’ll read through scripts, pick characters, and practice a radio play which we will then perform on the final day.  We will also record this final performance and send it out to the actors, after it’s edited and produced, for you to keep. This session’s focus: Wrinkle in Time.

Learn the moves that are used in your favorite swashbuckling adventures, like the Princess Bride. This class is being taught at a collegiate level and will challenge any actor who participates. As a bonus, anyone age 16 and older, has the opportunity for further training and adjudication at a national level. The term Academy indicates this course is built to be challenging

A non-performance-based look at the works of Shakespeare. Join Mr. Kevin for a discussion of a different play each week, followed by a table read of some scenes from that play.  We'll be learning about some great classic literature and how to understand the heightened language of Shakespeare's plays.

A space station has suffered a severe fire that consumed an invading enemy. Where did the fire come from? Why did it only kill the invaders? Might an inferno be building that could incinerate the station? Only the Doctor can unravel the mystery.

LEGO War (Block 1) (Sign Up Here!)

Part book/movie club, part creation, part epic tabletop game! Imagine the fun of creating buildings, siege weapons, and preparing your mini-figs for battle. Alternate between creating a theme, like Lord of the Rings, one week and the next week battling with the five armies! Imbue your mini-figs with rank. Star Wars Role Playing Game (Block 4) (Sign Up Here!)

From Jedi’s and Lightsabers, nobles with connections, a soldier with a blaster rifle or a scoundrel who knows how to survive and get paid, Star Wars Role Playing has it all!  In this table-based, d20 style role-playing game you will become your own character in the Star Wars Universe and dive head-long into an adventure. A Hutt crime-lord has been making a deal with the Empire. Our heroes are tasked with finding out anything they can from Senator Amidala in this campaign set between the end of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.  Join us in Cloud city for adventure, intrigue, battles on foot and in the air as the saga continues!

Casino Royale (Block 5) (Sign Up Here!)

These well-known benefits of a regular poker game apply to kids as well: cementing friendships, acquiring social skills, developing critical thinking and honing interpretive and analytical skills while also working on match, statistics, and probabilities.

As Bill Gates says of his college-age poker exploits: "In poker, a player collects different pieces of information -- who's betting boldly, what cards are showing, what this guy's pattern of betting and bluffing is -- and then crunches all that data together to devise a plan for his own hand. I got pretty good at this kind of information processing."
